Donné Bio
A professional musician with over a decade of experience in solo, band and orchestral performance, Donné is known for her fiery passion and charisma on and off the stage. She has been dazzling audiences since a young age with her musical prowess and versatility, performing pieces and songs from a wide variety of genres such as classical, pop, rock and jazz.
She draws her inspiration from songs where the melody is independently able to showcase the beauty of the sound of the violin and adds her own unique touch and virtuosic elements. Donné offers brilliant performances of the latest billboard hits as well as golden oldies such as Despacito (Fonsi), Senorita (Camila Cabello & Shawn Mendes), Gimme Gimme (ABBA), Adventure Of a Lifetime (ColdPlay), Africa (Toto), Only You (Cheat Codes, Little Mix) and New Rules (Dua Lipa) amongst many others. She takes pride in being able to prepare her own unique renditions of any song at her client’s request.
Donné’s experience extends to performing as soloist with the Johannesburg Symphony and Philharmonic Orchestras, the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra, the Hugo Lambrechts Symphony Orchestra and the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra. She has won numerous prizes at
National Competitions and Eisteddfods, including the Pieter Schoeman prize for Best violinist and for Best performance of a South African composition.
She has also been a part of multiple International orchestra tours with the MIAGI Youth Orchestra and the Namibian Symphony Orchestra. Donné travels and performs as a soloist, with various well-known artists, as well as her own bands.
