Category: Photographers, Talent

Earl Martin has joined the Shake & Bake Entertainment team under his existing brand, Earl Martin Photography and we are incredibly fortunate to have his added wealth of talent and experience with us!

Earl started his photography company in 2008 as Knish Photography and after a few years in the business and having worked with a few of the Top Photographers in SA, including his mentor Jean-Pierre Uys (SA Photographer of the Year), Earl decided to change the name to a self-titled brand today known as Earl Martin Photography.

Earl’s work has been featured across numerous media platforms such as Rolling Stone, Seventeen, Cosmopolitan and GQ Magazines, as well as TV and Digital Platforms.  He has been commissioned on numerous campaigns for corporate companies and music labels, which has seen his work travel extensively across the globe with the artists and clients they represent.

Born in Cape Town in 1981, Earl’s love for photography started in front of the camera when he was a model for his mother’s designer clothing range. A lover all things visual, Earl started taking photography seriously late in life, but was extremely lucky to be fast tracked and miraculously had been given the opportunity to work alongside one of the best photographers S.A has to offer – Jean-Pierre Uys.

“I was privileged to information and insight that most photographers could only dream of.” Staying true to his own style is key to being authentic and essentially, to being different. My shooting style is very natural and non-pretentious”. Earl continues to work hard at his craft and is proud to call himself a “thinking photographer. My images all have stories. I’m never the lead character in those stories but I enjoy telling them from my point of view”
